The mirror and electrics work the same as the standard mirror as the camera has a separate fiber optic cable which I have left but is not required if your vehicle doesn't have a camera, obviously if your mirror is damaged and fitted with a camera, you can remove it and refit it to this, the camera is held in with two screws and can be accessed by gently pulling the mirror off from the side, the outside edge.
